Featuring Select Giclées on Canvas by F. Lorin

F. Lorin has painted sporadically throughout his life. His paintings are rare and inspired by American abstract expressionist, Jackson Pollock. Only a limited number of his paintings have been made available to the public because, as Mr. Lorin states, "I have always painted for myself. I express my personal emotions and feelings in my work and never expect for it to be viewed or commented on by others. However, from time to time I have "cleaned house" and offered various pieces to friends, select charities and non-profits."

One of those select non-profits is PBS television, where three of his artworks were featured in an art auction on New Orleans PBS channel WYES.

American Craft Art

In the last couple of decades, American Contemporary Craft Art's popularity grew both here in the United States and abroad. Due in part to former First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton's efforts, the interest in craft art led to a heightened awareness in functional and decorative art. The Renwick Gallery in Washington, DC, literally across the street from The White House grounds, is a leader in the exhibition of American Contemporary Craft Art, as well as designs in various media from the past. The White House, itself, possesses an enviable collection, which is featured in a book sold by the Smithsonian Institution.

Almond Didier is proud to feature art in all its beautiful forms and media. We present American Craft Art samples from our own corporate collection, as well as items from other collections throughout the United States.

The Almond Didier online catalog features works of art by many accomplished artists. These works cover varying media, such as paintings, blown glass, origami, lighting, furnishings, and more. View our collections and learn more about the artists we represent and the beautiful objects they create. We also feature a select line of affordable furnishings and accessories to complement your art, your home, and your lifestyle.

"We've tried to elevate the role and visibility of American artisans, because there is some very fine work being done. We look at some of the [decorative arts] that were given to the White House as gifts or were purchased during the nineteenth century--and they were crafts of their time, so I think it's important that we appreciate the artistry of crafts of our time."
