On a quiet farm in America’s heartland,an Italian war bride becomes an average Iowan housewife.

That is, until a National Geographic photographer, who is seeking directions to the area’s historic covered bridges, knocks on her door.

As she helps him find the location for the photo shoot, an unexpected, yet powerful, connection grows.

And so begins the story, told through beautiful music, of a sweeping romance that makes us question the roads we travel, the doors we open and the bridges we dare to cross.

The musical is based on the Robert James Waller’s 1992 best-selling novel, “The Bridges of Madison County”.

The script was written by Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Marsha Norman with Music and Lyrics by Jason Robert Brown.
